About the Event

Join the Moody for a wearable puppet making workshop with the Puerto Rican puppet group, Poncili Creación, a surreal puppetry collective who will be in residence at Rice in March.

Students and volunteers will work with Poncili to create new wearable sculptures inspired by Natasha Bowdoin’s installation Sideways to the Sun. These puppets will then be worn in a performance that will premiere at Dimensions Variable on March 23rd at 7 pm. Dinner will be provided for workshop participants.

Directions & Parking

The Moody Center for the Arts is located on the campus of Rice University, and is best reached by using Campus Entrance 8 at the intersection of University Boulevard and Stockton Street. As you enter campus, the building is on the right, just past the Media Center. There is a dedicated parking lot adjacent to the building. Payment for the Moody Lot is by credit card only.
