Brockman Music and Performing Arts Center

The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University was launched in 1975, making it one of the youngest major university level music programs in the country. In just over forty years it has risen to become a leading American music school, providing music performance training for an international student body of 285 music majors focused on a professional career. Our world-class faculty of artist-teachers are dedicated to cultivating the talents of each student and equipping them with the skills and education necessary for success in the professional world.
