We continue our Murfee Worsham screenings with Kubrick’s third film, his first Hollywood production, a heist picture starring Sterling Hayden, with an all star cast of 50s movies including Elisha Cook Jr., Timothy Carey, and the great Marie Windsor. Photography by Lucien Ballard and dialogue by Jim Thompson. “Arguably Stanley Kubrick’s most perfectly conceived and executed film” – Jonathan Rosenbaum, Chicago Reader.
