“Que Se Haga Justicia” or “Let Justice Be Done” follows the work of Foro Penal, an organization that has represented more than 10,000 cases of victims of human rights violations in Venezuela. Foro Penal was founded in 2005 to provide pro bono legal assistance to victims of arbitrary detention, due process violations or other human rights violations, including torture or cruel and inhuman treatment. Under Alfredo Romero’s leadership, over 200 lawyers and 1,700 volunteers across the country are providing assistance to victims of human rights violations and their families.
The documentary screening will be followed by a Q&A with Alfredo Romero, Executive Director of Foro Penal Venezolano (Penal Forum of Venezuela).
