What power is in my heart?
A meandering memory, magnified.

A materialization of intangible psychological, gendered, and emotional states of being, whereas the labor of making is intimately intense and devoted and the act of creating is constantly evolving, led largely by intuition and subconscious reaction.

A largely autobiographical work, personal, gendered, and racialized histories are important to this work. Childhood highly influences the ways we view and understand the world around us, and this work is largely a result of and reaction to childhood, including the presence of visual symbolism and specific material and color sensibilities.

A process of material engagement and emotional and psychological response, there is an instability between and interdependency of the sculptural and painted aspects of this work that informs its final existence.
