A classic of prerevolutionary Iranian cinema, The Deer was playing in the Rex Theatre when it was burned down in 1978. Wounded by the police, a thief looks up his old friend to leave his stolen goods with him. He finds that his old friend has turned to drugs, and the thief stays to try and help him beat addiction.
