About the Event
Happy Birthday, Marsha! is a film about the iconic transgender artist and activist, Marsha “Pay it No Mind” Johnson and her life in the hours before she ignited the 1969 Stonewall Riots in New York City. Starring Tangerine’s break out star Mya Taylor.
Written and directed by Reina Gossett and Sasha Wortzel.
Doors open at 7.30 pm for conversation, light bites and refreshments.
Film screening begins at 8 pm.
The event is open to the public.
