Lou Perryman was a big man with a big heart, and big appetites. He loved life, both its bright lights and its dark underbelly. He was a veteran, a factory worker, assistant cameraman, an actor of considerable talent, gourmand, lover of women, long-time cabbie, a devoted father, and a convicted felon. On April 1, 2009 he was murdered in his South Austin home. This film attempts to uncover some perspective on a life that was in many respects quite ordinary—but in others was a grand, quintessentially American adventure.

The livestream screening is part of the Rice Media Center’s 50th anniversary events: https://vada.rice.edu/50th-anniversary
