Immerse yourself in HGO Composer-in-Residence Joel Thompson’s “shifting palette of grooves, colors, and moods” (Bachtrack) in To See the Sky. Sibelius’s Symphony No. 7 unleashes an infinite universe of emotional power in just 20 minutes. Feel the full force of the Orchestra’s dazzling virtuosity in Lutosławski’s Concerto for Orchestra.

Directions & Parking

West Lot 2 is the parking lot for all Shepherd School of Music events. Access this lot via campus entrance #18 off Rice Boulevard. 

Overflow parking is available in West Lot 3 or in the Central Campus Garage, located just east of the music school (underneath the Jones Graduate School of Business) near campus entrance #20 off Rice Boulevard.

Stude Concert Hall, Duncan Recital Hall, Hirsch Orchestra Rehearsal Hall, and Wortham Opera Theatre are located in Alice Pratt Brown Hall on the Rice University campus.  Alice Pratt Brown Hall is wheelchair accessible. Signs inside the campus near entrances 1, 2, 8, and 20 provide directions to all visitor parking.
