Shepherd School Symphony Orchestra - Dvořák’s New World

About the Event

Radiant warmth, soaring melodies, and brilliant technical fireworks abound in William Walton’s crown-jewel of a Violin Concerto, performed by Shepherd School Concerto Competition winner Kayleigh Kim. When Dvořák visited America in the late-nineteenth century, the exuberant new musical styles he encountered inspired one of his greatest masterpieces: the heart-pounding “New World” Symphony.
