About the Event

GRAMMY®-nominated composer Christopher Theofanidis’s compositions have been performed by leading orchestras around the world, with Rainbow Body being the most performed new orchestral work of the new millennium. Currently on the faculty of the Yale School of Music, he is the recipient of the International Masterprize, the Rome Prize, and fellowships from the Guggenheim, Fulbright, Tanglewood, and the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

Directions & Parking

West Lot 2 is the parking lot for all Shepherd School of Music events. Access this lot via campus entrance #18 off Rice Boulevard. 

Overflow parking is available in West Lot 3 or in the Central Campus Garage, located just east of the music school (underneath the Jones Graduate School of Business) near campus entrance #20 off Rice Boulevard.

Stude Concert Hall, Duncan Recital Hall, Hirsch Orchestra Rehearsal Hall, and Wortham Opera Theatre are located in Alice Pratt Brown Hall on the Rice University campus.  Alice Pratt Brown Hall is wheelchair accessible. Signs inside the campus near entrances 1, 2, 8, and 20 provide directions to all visitor parking.
