Join us for an evening of celebration! The Department of Art is thrilled to present the highly anticipated Senior Art Thesis Exhibition, Opia, taking place Thursday, April 18, from 7:00-9:00 PM, at the PCF Tent #2, located on the field at the intersection of Alumni Drive and Inner Loop. The opening reception will commence directly after the department’s award ceremony, and showcase projects and pieces conceptualized and created during an intense senior year.

The diverse array of disciplines and mediums, including paintings and drawings, sculpture, photography, and film will be on view from April 19 through commencement weekend.

The PCF Tent #2 is located in the field near the intersection of Alumni Drive and Inner Loop Road. The facade features artwork by Sarah Welch, titled Skeeter Control, and depicts a green-colored pond scene.

Food trucks will be on site offering complimentary snacks to guests, while a bar area equipped with both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, and cider), in addition to atmospheric tunes provided by local KTRU DJ, will surely set the vibe for an evening brimming with excitement, festive community, and peer engagement.

** Wristbands will be distributed after the awards ceremony and will be required to order complimentary food provided by food trucks: Boombox Taco and Morning After. IDs will be required for any complimentary alcoholic beverage. **
