About the Event

Interested in seeing curated short films from around the globe? Come to Rice Cinema (Sewall Hall 301) on Wednesday, November 20th at 6 pm to see films collected by Rice graduate clubs and affinity groups to represent their diverse identities. We’ll be voting for awards like Best Acting and giving the clubs cool prizes!

Animation vs. Math - SIAM

  • Explore the intersection of animation and mathematics in this creative short, which brings complex mathematical concepts to life through captivating visuals. It is a must-watch for anyone curious about the beauty of numbers and their applications.


Haikal - Southeast Asians United at Rice

  • “Haikal” tells a poignant story of culture, family, and belonging, centering on a young man navigating his identity within his Southeast Asian heritage. It is a heartfelt journey into tradition and modern life.


Nayantara’s Necklace - Indian Students at Rice
