Houston Cinema Arts Festival regional short film competition, Borders | No Borders, returns for its sixth edition, feature films from Texas and its surrounding regions. This year’s selection is all about remnants, either from missed connections, unspoken truths, or ephemera from past encounters. Spanning a punk show, a Texas library, and a strip club, these stories show that the past is never static, centering characters who grapple with consequences while building new futures for themselves (however temporary they may be).
