Current Exhibition: RIO DE JANEIRO 2017

About the Event

The exhibition RIO DE JANEIRO 2017 captures–through photographs, journal entries, and historical materials–the experiences of ten students who participated in HART in the World: Rio from May 14th to June 4th, 2017.

In addition to Rio de Janeiro, the group traveled to supermodern Brasilia, Brazil’s capital; the 19th-century planned city of Belo Horizonte; and cosmopolitan São Paulo, the most populous city in the Americas. Led by Assistant Professor Fabiola López-Durán and current art history Ph.D. candidate Oliva Wolf, they were joined by Brazilian artist Ana Maria Tavares, who is a professor at the Universidade de São Paulo.

The exhibition, free and open to the public, was installed on November 3rd, 2017, and is ongoing.
