The Shepherd Society’s Family Concert
“Overture to a Heroine”
Featuring the Shepherd School Symphony Orchestra in a performance of selections of Beethoven’s Leonore Overture No. 3

10:30 a.m. – Instrument demonstration in Alice Pratt Brown Hall’s Grand Foyer
11:00 a.m. – concert in Stude Concert Hall

This event is free and open to the public. Recommended for ages 6 and older

Directions & Parking

West Lot 2 is the parking lot for all Shepherd School of Music events. Access this lot via campus entrance #18 off Rice Boulevard. 

Overflow parking is available in West Lot 3 or in the Central Campus Garage, located just east of the music school (underneath the Jones Graduate School of Business) near campus entrance #20 off Rice Boulevard.

Stude Concert Hall, Duncan Recital Hall, Hirsch Orchestra Rehearsal Hall, and Wortham Opera Theatre are located in Alice Pratt Brown Hall on the Rice University campus.  Alice Pratt Brown Hall is wheelchair accessible. Signs inside the campus near entrances 1, 2, 8, and 20 provide directions to all visitor parking.
