Artist Talk with Odili Donald Odita

About the Event

Hear from Nigerian-born Odili Donald Odita, the latest artist commissioned for the Rice Public Art collection. Odita’s transformative, large-scale mural, Meeting Place / Painting with Changing Parts, installed in Alice Pratt Brown Hall at the Shepherd School of Music, responds to the building’s focus on music, the architecture on campus, and the adjacent James Turrell Skyspace.

Odita’s free and public talk will be in room 1133 at the Shepherd School, starting at 5 p.m. It will be followed by a reception from 6 - 7 p.m. Register here.

Guest can extend their evening by registering separately for a free performance by Roomful of Teeth presented by the Shepherd School of Music, at 7:30 p.m.

Please note that registration for Odita’s talk can be completed by clicking here.
