About the Event

Edited by curator Frauke V. Josenhans, “Hayv Kahraman: The Foreign in Us” offers insight into the artist’s research-based practice through original writing by Kahraman and an essay by Miriam Ticktin, Professor of Anthropology at the CUNY Graduate Center with introductions from Josenhans and Moody Executive Director Alison Weaver. Including more than 80 color images of Kahraman’s artworks, this expertly designed hardcover is made possible by the Moody Center for the Arts, the Rice University Art Gallery Endowment, Pilar Corrias, London, Jack Shainman Gallery, NY, The Third Line, Dubai, and Vielmetter Los Angeles.

Directions & Parking

The Moody Center for the Arts is located on the campus of Rice University, and is best reached by using Campus Entrance 8 at the intersection of University Boulevard and Stockton Street. As you enter campus, the building is on the right, just past the Media Center. There is a dedicated parking lot adjacent to the building. Payment for the Moody Lot is by credit card only.
